Ph. D. Course code 1665 Admission Requirements A Bachelor's Degree of a standard acceptable to the Higher Degree Committee of the Faculty of Science and Technology - normally a four year degree with at least a credit grade average. In most cases a student will be required to register for a MSc program and apply for transfer to a PhD on satisfactory completion of one year of full time study or 3 sessions of part time study. Study Requirements This degree is awarded for a thesis considered to be a substantial original contribution to research in a relevant area. The minimum enrolment period is 3 years full time or 6 years part time. Work for a PhD award may be carried out as an internal or external student.
