Graduate Diploma in Ergonomics
SESCAS5669

NOTICE

The Ergonomics Programs (Masters, Graduate Diploma and Graduate Certificate) at UNSW are currently being reviewed with a view to updating them in the light of modern interests and requirements in human factors. Such review and program revamp will in part be built upon the views of our previous students. Accordingly no new applications to enroll in any of the Ergonomics Programs are being accepted for the whole of 2008. It is expected that new enrollments will accepted for commencement in March 2009.

Study Requirements
The Graduate Diploma in Ergonomics is intended for students wishing to become professional ergonomists. It provides students with the competencies to identify ergonomics hazards in human-technology-environment systems, to assess their associated risks and to use a user-centred, systems approach to develop controls for the hazards. It is the second stage in a fully articulated sequence of Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Master of Science and Technology Programs in Ergonomics. The Program requires 48 UOC and is normally completed in one year full-time (or equivalent part-time) study. It is available by distance but requires attendance at on-campus short courses as indicated below.
