| Description : | This course introduces risk management and demonstrates how the risk management process can be applied at the strategic and operational level. Qualitative and quantitative tools and techniques of risk assessment are introduced.
The course is delivered by applying principles and tools to case study organisations.
Modules are studied one per week in on campus or distance mode. | | | | | Objectives : | At the end of this course, participants should be able to:
- Describe different risk management frameworks and terminology and use terminology
correctly
- Apply the risk management process to planning risk management at an enterprise
level
- Apply the risk management process to decisions and risk issues relevant
to their own organisation and role
- Develop a risk rating system and discuss its limitations Identify and prioritise
the risks
- Analyse causes and consequences of risks using a range of tools
- Describe the basic principles of quantitative tools used in risk management
- Participate as a useful member of a team in the risk management process.
