| Description : | This course will provide an overview of the structure, function and location of the major body systems with special reference to those areas or structures which are vulnerable to injury in the workplace. It is assumed that students do not have any previous knowledge of biology. Topics covered include the musculoskeletal system (with an emphasis on the upper limb), the nervous system, eye and ear, the cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal and urogenital systems and the skin. | | | |
